Happy Thanksgiving!!

Thanksgiving -- It took me from 9:00 am till 5:00 pm working over the stove and thinking to myself...is this really about making my family happy or is this about me being crazy compusive about absolutely having to have the traditional turkey dinner??

Made a huge turkey with stuffing, sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, gravy, homemade bread and an apple pie from scratch. Gavyn helped make the bread and the pie. Lots of fun baking these days. Noah enjoyed watching and cooed and giggled to entertain us. We all sat down and discussed the things that we were thankful for...the dinner before us, the loving family we have, the opportunities that pop-up when we least expect them, the happy lives we live...Yummy -- we were stuffed!! Dinner was good, but the best part of the meal was when Gavyn said "Thanks for the delicious supper Momma" and then gave Matt a sideways look and said "Daddy...say thank you to Momma for the delicious supper!" It was then that I realized how truely thankful I am for my great family and I now know that even though it was a very busy day cooking, carving and cleaning up...it was all worth it! I am thankful that I had the opportunity to have such a good day with my boys!

Hope you all were stuffed too!! Gobble...Gobble...
