A very exciting couple of days! Hooray...Noah has his 1st tooth! Hard to see it in this picture, but it's there. Right, front, bottom tooth. It popped out today (December 13th). He hasn't been complaining at all about it coming through -- so fingers crossed the other teeth will come in the same way!
Yesterday Grandpa arrived. Gavyn was so excited that he just couldn't seem to fall asleep for his afternoon nap. Noah must have known something was up too, cause he didn't nap either.
We have been showing Grandpa our new home and the big city of Iqaluit. That was of course after a bit of playtime and colouring.
This morning we brought Grandpa on a tour around Iqaluit and into the neighbouring town of Apex. It was a cloudy day so it was difficult to see the mountains across the bay, but he got a good view of the ice!!
This afternoon Gavyn and I made some Gingerbread for a Christmas party for the Iqaluit Mites hockey team.
The party will be this coming Sunday, with a visit from Santa and all. Here is Gavyn rolling out the dough for our cookies.
And as for tonight -- Gavyn, Noah and Momma were on the CBC Northbeat News. We were interviewed for a piece on energy conservation in the North and Momma was asked about when and why we made the switch to LED lights. We also have our Christmas tree lit with LEDs. It was pretty cool!!
